WVSG Members will share stories at the WV State Folk Festival in Glenville ! The festival is June 15 - 18 Won't you join us? Here is the storytelling lineup:
Friday June 16
12:00 (noon): Bill Hairston will kick us off with his irreplaceable tales of growing up nearby
1:00: Stories by the Score (that's Katie and Otto Ross) will share stories woven together with string music
2:00: Fred Powers will share his first-hand experiences of a coal miner in southern WV
3:00: Larry Staats will bring an array of artifacts (some musical, some not) to support his unique storytelling style
4:00: OPEN MIC (we will encourage everyone to be present to try out a new short tale, urge the audience to share a joke or memory, and even get our children relating stories that they love).
